The Hunger Games

       “The hunger games” about a girl named Katniss who has just taken the place of her younger sister to go into the games in which she will face off against 23 different people, it’s win or die, and Katniss struggles with, burns, daedly stings, and emotional torture throughout the book.

The hunger games was a very interesting book, not only was it a great story but it also related to many things in today’s world, and to things of the past.

            The first thing I see similar to history in the Roanoke colony, compared to District 13 in the hunger games, while people of the country know what happened to District 13, it still is wiped off the face of the earth, much like the Roanoke colony.

            The book had a great struggle with Katniss taking her sisters place in the games. She also had the struggle of having to face off with the other boy from her district who had on several occasions saved her life. It becomes a challenge for her to act civil in an interview, and the woods become extremely complicated when the game masters decide to start shooting giant fire balls at her, or when a swarm of killer bees is sitting 15 feet above her head, and the only way to survive is to drop them down on the “Careers” below her. Katniss makes it through all of these struggles with the help of some friends.

            What I liked about the book is that it always had tension that never seemed to subside, and when things started to get boring something always happened. I also liked that fact that there were many twists, and turns throughout the book. There wasn’t much I didn’t like about the book, although the beginning was kind of slow it did give meaning behind the story, the book was very hard to put down and leaves you hanging till the very end, and even then your not sure what to think,

            I would recommend this book to EVERYONE, it’s a great story, and it has a little something for everyone, it will keep you up at night to read, and on the edge of your seat the whole time you are reading.

The hunger games #3 (The winners)

After Katniss, and Peeta win the games, they are going to be sent home, when Peeta confesses that he actually loves Katniss, Katniss doesn't know how to react to this , and begins to freak out a little, thinking to herself how she could not afford to raise children, or get married, even though that would be long after she still worries about it happening now. The book ends on the final note of Katniss, and Peeta waiting to meet the crowed that has been dieing to meet them.

The hunger games #2 (The games)

The games come after all the flashy cloths, and meeting the game master, and all the fancy food. Now it's time for Katniss to get down to business, after coming into a close call in the very beginning, Katniss manages to get off with a bright orange backpack filled with micelanious items she has no time to examine, and a knife in which a girl threw at her, but luckily was able to move the pack in front of, this gives her a weapon, and some misialaneous items. She later finds out the contents of the pack, and sets up camp in a tree, that night someone sets a fire near her, she knows it's one of the obviously unintelligent tributes, and they almost give Kats possition a way to the pack of "Careers" who are killing off all the weak people they can, she finds out the boy from her district is traveling with them and feels betrayed, she is struggling for water, but eventually after she is ignored by her sposer that she needs water, she realizes she was close to water, and they were giving her a message to keep searching. After the dehydration struggle, she is chased down with fire ball being projected by the gamemakers, and she eventually runs into the Careers again and kills to of them, snatching the bow, her favorite weapon she was able to grab at the beginning of the game. In the end they get rid of the food supplys of the careers, and the game masters tell the distrect 12 people told them that they could win as a distrect, but then are changed after they meet up, so they make a plot against the gamemakers so they pretend as if they are going to commit suicide with poison berries, so the game makers delclare them as the winners

The hunger games #1 (The reaping)

The reaping is the day when it is decided who will go to the hunger games weather it be by voulenteering, or by your name being drawn out, Katniss(the main character of the series) chooses to voulenteer after her sister is chosen so that her sister does not have to die in the games in which 24 people compeet for survival in. Katniss takes the risk instead, knowing she is better off than her sister.
